Monitors the existing Bylaws and make recommendations for changes as needed.
Acts between meetings of the Board, accomplishing such duties as the Board may from time to time deem expedient.
Proposes a slate of officers and directors, and delegates and alternate delegates to the MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society, House of Delegates.
From time to time, and as deemed appropriate, the Board establishes committees, task forces, or workgroups to accomplish the work of the board and organization. Current committees are:
Assists with membership recruitment, retention and reclamation, and identifies and obtains non-dues revenue and other resources.
Develops an annual calendar of educational offerings, including continuing medical education, professional and personal resources and social events for the membership; coordinates with the BCMS Foundation programs for the general public.
Serves as a resource for women physicians; encourages sustained engagement in organized medicine and other areas of interest; collaborates with other women professionals in offering educational and networking opportunities; provides outreach to the community.
