Welcome to BCMS!

If you are a physician who practices or resides in Baltimore City, you are eligible to join your physician colleagues in one of the oldest physician membership organizations in Maryland. BCMS celebrated its centennial in 2004, having become a component of MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society in 1904. BCMS’ beginnings, however, have been traced back to December 15, 1788, as The Medical Society of Baltimore. Join BCMS and continue the rich legacy of organized medicine in Baltimore City.

Membership in BCMS, also means you are a member of MedChi. Working together, along with the other local components of MedChi, we are able to maximize our resources to keep you abreast of the ongoing changes in the practice of medicine, the profession, and the public health.
